I Don't Really Have a Name For the Blog...

Hey all!

I don't know what happened to the other book reviews I did...I guess I didn't post or something. I'm too lazy to re-type them out but the books I had reviewed were:

-Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Battle of the Labyrinth
-MAX (Maximum Ride book)
-Love Is a Many Trousered Thing

Let's just say I loved them all!

In other news, I started a new story. Its a Dylington! Yay! I don't know why people don't like DylanxDerrick! I mean, could there be a more perfect couple?

I literally jumped out of my chair and danced when I read PS I Loathe You and it got to the Dylington part. Sadly, I was on my balcony and my lovely neighbours saw me.

New topic. Why are there differences in Canadian and American spelling?
American: Color Canadian: Colour
American: Neighbor Canadian: Neighbour
American: Favorite Canadian: Favourite

Yes, its only a 'U' that's different but why? I hate it, because when writing a story, I'll type the Canadian version and it'll have that annoying red line underneath!

Another new topic. I'm almost 16!!!!!!!!!!! Well on October 5th I will be. But still its so soon!!!!! And sadly, I still have not gotten my license. During my test to get my learner's, I crashed into a tree.

The reason I didn't give this blog a title was because it was so random!

Nobody's Princess

Ok, first let me say I adore Helen of Troy. She is my idol, even though she's fictional. She's everything I aspire to be: brave, cunning, sneaky...

[Taken from book summary]

Not one to count on the gods -or her looks- to take care of her, Helen sets out to get what she wants steely determination and a sassy attitude. And while it's that attitude that gets Helen a few enemies -Such as the self proclaimed 'Son of Posiedon', Theseus- its also what intrigues, charms and amuses those who are her friends from the famed huntress Atalanta to the young priestess who is the Oracle of Delphi.

This is basically a fictional story of what happened in Helen's childhood -when she was young Helen of Sparta, desitined to be Sparta's future queen.

I loved this book because she defies everything about Sparta. Her sister, Clytemnestra is like the golden girl. She sits at the loom all day, weaving and embroidering.

This book kind of hit home for me, because Clytemnestra and Helen are a lot like me and my sister. My sister Ruby is the good girl who does everything my parents say and is a total priss.

While I don't always listen to my parents, and let's face it, I'd rather party then do whatever it is my sister does.

Clytemnestra often accuses Helen of always getting her way because she's the prettier sister. That seems true, which is pretty harsh.

Anyway, I give this book 10 stars, and if you like Greek mythology I insist you read it. I'm tracking down the sequel, Nobody's Prize, so when I find it I will review.

5 Questions I've Always Wondered

So this morning as I was in the shower before school, I started thinking the randomest thoughts. I have really random thoughts most of the time like 'Oh a kitty! Do Kitties have belly buttons? Do they have livers?' and things like that.

But these thoughts came out of no where. Anyway here are 5 questions that popped into my mind this morning:

1. What's the yellow, butter substitute on microwave popcorn? Its not butter...so...what is it...and what's it made out of? 'Cause honestly...I don't think I want to eat it anymore...

2. Why are designer clothes more expensive than regular clothes? They're basically the same. I mean, I buy designer clothes, but I'm not sure why I spend more money, when I could buy Wal-Mart clothes.

3. Why does metal explode when its in the microwave? I found that out the hard way. My cook had the night off, so I decided to make a can of soup. Into the microwave it went. The next morning we bought a new microwave and I knew never to cook again.

4. Why are there so many stereotypes? I mean, how come rich people are snobs, blondes are dumb and cheerleaders are sluts? Those are all stereotypes I've had thrown at me. I don't consider myself a dumb snobby slut, so everyone else shouldn't either.

5. Why is cheesecake so delicious? I adore cheese cake. It is like a god-given food. Why? Why must it tempt me with its deliciousness???

So there are the questions that haunt me. BTW, expect a bunch of book reviews today, since I've read like 13 books and haven't reviewed any!

Les Sigh

Well, I'm not leaving the wonderful joy that is blogging. Yeah, I'm happy too.

Still not sure about FF though...

But I didn't write this to depress you. So...the Canucks are rocking! Yay! Chicago is also doing pretty good (My dad's a Blackhawk fan).

If you have no idea what I'm talking about it's because you are not clued in to the...something cup. I'm not entirely sure what cup it is.

The only reason I know of this is because my best friend's uncle is a Canuck so I have to be filled in.

Leaving?

Hey guys.

I think I might leave Fanfiction and this blog for a while, just because one of my best friends ever Kristen (Coco-Chanel333 on FF) is almost dead. She was in a car accident and is now in a coma and clinging to life.

I recieved an e-mail from her mom explaining it all to me, and even now -60 minutes after I read it- I'm still crying.

The reason I might leave FF is because Kristen and I spent so much time on there, laughing at some people's horrible stories, crying over Maddie's 9/11 story (Kristen lost her dad there). There's a lot of memories between us on FF and I don't think I want to be on there if she's not.

I don't know for sure if I'm leaving. I have other friends on FF and am collabing with Jessica, so if I left she'd be pretty pissed.

But please, keep Kristen and her family in your prayers, even if you don't know her.

The Yummiest Place Ever

Ok, ever wander into a shop and then never come out? That happened to me on Monday, except I came out after about two hours. I was waiting for a friend in east Vancouver and discovered the holy grail of food.

Three words, kitties: Anna's Cake House.

Honestly, Anna makes the BEST baking ever. Mousse cakes, cheese cakes, wedding cakes, birthday cakes. And that's not even all of them. They also do pastries, cupcakes, breads and buns.

Everything in there is so delicious. I bought the Napolean Cream Cake because I was babysitting my cousins and they love cake. Amazing.

Seriously, if you're ever in Vancouver and in need of a delicious treat, go find Anna's Cake House.

I'm in a kick ass mood

I'm pretty happy today because I FINALLY saw the Hannah Montanna movie. Honestly, it made my week. I laughed so hard at parts and then there would be a really shocked silence in the theatre, and of course, I had to burst out laughing.

I was actually suprised at how much I enjoyed it. And let me tell you, Travis (Lucas Till) was H-O-T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But my favourite was cousin Derrick (Jared Carter). He was just completely awesome. So was Harlow, his furry companion.

I learned how to do the Hoedown Throwdown, and I'm as good as Tyra (The credits were hilarious). Ok, maybe not Tyra but totally as good as Derrick!

'Because you live and breathe, because you make me believe in myself'

This morning I was cleaning out my closet, looking for old purses and crap to donate to this charity thingy. I found my favourite purse from when I was 12 and 13 and 14. I loved it. It was baby blue with had Tinkerbell on it with the quote 'All you need is Magic'.

It was heavier than it should've been, so I looked in it. I found 25 bucks, an old wallet, pictures from the mall (You know those ones from a photobooth), and my old purple iPod.

When I was doing homework, I decided to try the old iPod, and it was still charged! Oh my god, the songs were so old and pre teen-ish. There was Jesse McCartney, Ashely Tisdale, High School Musical, Hannah Montanna. Wow, I had really bad tasted in music ;)

But the Jesse music was really good. So I went on iTunes, bought all the JMac songs I could, and became re-obsessed. Nice, huh?

Well, gotta go listen to my iPod now that it's all Jesse-fied.

Yay Easter Break!

Hey all!

I'm in a great mood today. Like, honestly I could bounce off a wall! Because...

Disney is making a movie out of the book The Lightning Theif by Rick Riordan :)

It's Easter Break :)

There's a huge party tonight :)

I'm writing stories that are getting reviews :)

I'm going to see the Jonas Brothers in June :)

Ok, I know I'm 15 and shouldn't still be in love with Nick Jonas, but I can't help it. So I bought tickets, I know it's sad. But I'm not!

I'm kind of sad/happy :S

Ever be in that mood where you're happy but then you're really sad?

That had been my mood for the past three days. And I'm not entirely sure why. Its not mood swings, I'm just...happy/sad!

Reasons why I'm sad:

-There's a huge dance at school and I don't have a date.

-Normally, that wouldn't bother me, but all of my friends have dates.

-The guy I like (see previous post) has a girlfriend.

Reasons why I'm happy:

-My friends are the best ever!

-I'm at one hundred reviews for a FF story :)

-I posted a new FF story :)

-Summer OhNine is almost here!!!!

So its just messed up.

Complicated!

As April began I realized how much more complicated my life was becoming withing the last three months of school.

Today was hell. Not hell as in ninth grade, but hell as in complicated. Complications in sequence:

1. A boy who I always thought didn't know me admitted he liked me more than friends. Since when were we 'friends'?

2. I don't like this boy (See above). I like someone who used to like me but now I'm not sure.

3. My best friend just got in a huge and horrible fight with our enemy. Can anyone say WWIII?

4. I'm pretty sure I failed a math test that counts for forty percent of my grade.

5. The boy who admitted to liking me has now began stalking me.

6. April Fool's Day began with an all out prank war in which I lost my favourite pair of sunglasses.

7. It began to snow today. Why does it snow in APRIL?

8. After seeing Knowing, I'm afraid that the world will end (It was in the bible too!).

9. Next year is eleventh grade.

10. I honestly don't think I can handle any of the about without alot of coffee.

But when the world tosses you some sour lemons, you just gotta hang on.
So bring it.

:)
